That's,,,,,,,,,,Rudy Clay,,,,,,,,who looked pretty good in there.

Did Rudy Clay put his career on hold, or did he lose interest.
He did turn pro in 1964, at age 24, and did look promising.

Or was did he just want to be his brothers sparring partner.

Of course, that ring in Miami Beach looks a little on the smaller side,
which did limit Muhammad's movement.

Ali had gotten rid of the ring rust by the time the 2nd & 3rd fights took place + Frazier had slipped a bit since 1971.... Ali also spent too much time on the ropes & in the corners in fights 1 & 3 tho he did enough damage using those tactics in fight 3 to force the stoppage, fight 2 Ali boxed & moved the whole fight, a tactic that tbh he should have applied in all 3 fights from an Ali point of view if not an excitement point of view.

Nobody would have complained.
I think damn near everybody that watched the fight other than Frazier die-hards would have been outraged if that fight had been stopped, Ali was nowhere near close to being stopped... I really dont know what agenda you have here but its fkd up.

Yea,,,,,,,,,,of course let the guy take some more hard punches,

Just so heartless fans can say he wasn't knocked-out.

What could a few more hard punches to do to an exhausted warrior,,,,

**** the scrambled brains and slurred speech, and shakes,,,,,,,,

Like you said Mr. Bill Butcher, you're more concerned that he wasn't stopped, then
the well-being of his health.

The battle was over,,,,,,,,,,no one would have complained.

That video on Cus is actually incredible.

He calls it JUST like it is, at a time where people's perception were fogged by Ali's confidence and the reporters claiming he was more fit than ever.

When I saw this, my respect for Cus increased immensly, as well as when I saw this:

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrWlHDYDkjg[/ame]

Cus impresses Ali with his superior knowledge of boxing, even showing Ali exactly how Frazier was going to win the fight.

But the first video posted in the page earlier is even better in my eyes. Cus called it perfectly right, right then and there. And went into great detail as to what he was talking about

edit: Oh not to mention that Cus looks like he could knockout out some big people the way hes moving in that video. Great legendary man of the sport

Once you beat the Greatest what else can you do? Also Joe was not the same fighter after the FOTC...

Fight Scoring Judge. Frazier vs Ali I

Artie Aidala

The turning point in the fight was Round 4.
Muhammad was fighing brilliantly in that round, and hit Joe with some
really hard shots, shaking him. You could really hear the power in those punches
with the sound that they made.
In my mind, Muhammad had the round won, but with about a minute left,
after taking a pounding, Joe turned it on.
Joe hit Muhammad with some terrific left hooks, and turned the round into
his favor. Then in the last 15-seonds or so, Joe was so overwhelming,
that I had to give that round to Joe.

Joe really stole that round in the last 15-seconds. A very smart move by Joe.

To me, that was the turning point.
