Default Mayweather fights better when he's hit and challenged

As shown against Hatton, I think Mayweather fights better when pressured, when a fighter is more passive against Mayweather, it seems he becomes less aggressive, like in the De La Hoya and Baldomir fight, but like in the Judah and Hatton fight, when pressured he seems more inclined to trade blows and come forward. In my opinion, it seems when someone does manage to break down his defense and catch him with a shot, he seems to become much more aggressive, a little vindictive almost.

Case in point

Against Chavez, Judah, Ndou and Hatton this was also evident. I think Oscar fought the best fight, dont give him avenues to counter you. Keep him complacent. Thats would be a must for Cotto.

Mayweather would definitely be a big favourite to outland and decision him. But make no mistake, if Tszyu were to breach that defence and land ONE big bomb, Mayweather would be out of there pretty soon after.

Mayweather is a master counterpuncher. The only way to beat him is try to turn the tables and let him lead, and try and counter him. You saw Judah successful with that tactic for about two or three rounds, and then went away with it.
All these guys that think they can get inside and rough him up are mistaken. You have to take him out of his comfort zone, and make him take the lead.

I agree, you have to take away floyd's major assets , his composure and his ability to counter .

As long as he sees it coming I just don't see Floyd being hurt by 1 punch. He never saw that wide looping shot from Corley.

Good point but he can lead as well. All he did was lead against Gatti and Corley. Floyd is very rarely uncomfortable in the ring.

I've said it before and I will say it again, Lloyd Honeygan beats PBF, too quick, too strong, and more importantly the one figher who was more intelligent

Honeygan? I dont think so. Marlon starling had his way with Honeygan. And Starling stands right in front of you, only throws certain types of punches. Mayweather surely finds success here. He was severely outclassed by Starling and ultimately knocked out and you think he is more intelligent than Mayweather? As in ring intelligence?

Starling beat Honeygan by counter punching. I just dont see how this matchup is any different.
