Martinez has not accomplished anything that indicates he could cope with Hopkins. There is only one Hopkins so we'll never know. Prime Hopkins would easily defeat every fighter Martinez has faced recently with the only harder touch being Williams whom obviously owns a victory over Martinez. I think Hopkins is a stylistic nightmare for Martinez.

hopkins 7 times out of 10 beats martinez by UD. the other 3 times are by knock out. the hopkins that fought tito, by murder

I could see a draw. Martinez has athletic advantages over BHop, but in-and-out style fighters are the ones Hopkins is often able to control the easiest.

Martinez is way too fast for Hopkins. He would either beat Hopkins by dec. or TKO! Calzaghe sure took care of Hopkins by speed also.
