Silva, Velasquez, Dos Santos, Edgar, and Jackson are all badasses when it comes to striking, but just like boxers dont have a clue on ground game, mma guys are too straight forward and predictable. I love watching Frankie Edgar fight he does show me potential in a boxing ring and Silva has potential too, but not vs a top 10 cruiser not to sure. Depends who it is.

Yeah I was very impressed with Frankie Edgar's boxing ability against Bj Penn

not a chance in hell even vs a top 50 cruiser. he already tried boxing and lost to an unknown novice with a bad record. he would get killed against a top 10 cruiser

Forget his pointless boxing matches from a lifetime ago.

Hopkins lost his first fight remember, and Silva's boxing matches are comparable to Hopkins first fight. They mean nothing. Both fighters have gone on to greatness. Both fighter's are completely different animals.

Silva is Iron chinned and possible the greatest MMA fighter of all time, and defineltly the best MMA striker of all time.

All you people talking like Anderson would get outclassed and KO'd have hardley seen any of his fight's. The man's chin is IRON and his heart is BIG.

There's not much Anderson Silva couldn't do if he put his mind to it imo.

Roach said that he felt like Silva was going at 40% in that sparring session by the way.
By the way do you know your post is on another thread about stupidest comments youve heard on boxing?

So your trying to Silva's boxing skills have improved so much by fighting other mma guys, that we should throw his ko loss to a tomotoe can out the window?

The cruiserweight division is garbage.
Actually the cruiser division is kind of solid... You should watch more boxing before making such bold claims about Silva.

You can't be serious? Silva would get KTFO in under 2 rounds.

Five different Polish cruiserweights fought this weekend on one card and I'd favor them all to beat Silva in a boxing match. Palacios too of course.

Add an extra zero to the thread title, then it's a debate...

If he exaggerated the effects of that jab much more, Vince McMahon and the WWE would be calling.

Wasnt he scheduled to fight RJJ a couple years ago? I think it was going to be in boxing. Roy would still probably take Silva apart in all honesty though I in no way want to see it.
