...no.

You don't get how the O/U works, huh?

It was actually more than halfway through the 9th round when Peter was ruled KO'ed with the second knockdown. That doesn't matter. It wasn't even close to approaching the over.

9.5 rounds means "nine and a half rounds completed". In other words, it has to be past the 1:30 mark of round 10. The fight ended in round 9. So...yeah...way more than 15 seconds from getting the over.

If it is stopped at exactly 1:30 of round ten, with the over/under set at 9.5 - it's a push. In that case, only the correct-winner payouts will be made. Neither the Over nor Under is paid out.

It's the same with O/U bets in all sports. For instance, in a football game they might set the over/under at a combined score of 36 between both teams. If it's 35 or less obviously the Under wins. If it's 37 or more the Over wins. If it's 36, it's a push and everybody gets their initially wagered money back but no extra payout. To avoid this they'll sometimes do half-integers, like 36.5 - that way there is guaranteed to be a winner no matter what (since there's no such thing as "half a point" in football).

A boxing match being stopped at precisely the 1:30 mark of the O/U round is extremely rare, though. It hasn't ever come up yet during my time running vBookie on ESB.

Good point. I should fake-bet more often.

15 seconds and 3 minutes!
