If by miracle of god Shields beats GSP, what happens if he moves back to Middle challenges for the Middle weight title???
Can Shields replicate what Sonnen did to Anderson for 5 rounds? Or even submit Anderson if he gets top control for a couple of rounds? This fight is very intriguing to me and I wouldn't be surprised if it happpens. I actually haven't even see anybody mention this scenario yet, and yet I see it as a logical possibility if Shields beats GSP. Shields wins.....vacates Dana puts BJ in a winnable title fight for the vacant belt. GSP gets a win under his belt and then gets a shot at the title again. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ |

They won't let Shields move up in weight straight after the GSP fight. They already bullied him to go to 170Ibs when he wanted to be a middleweight.
Will be interesting if it happens - would mean that the Zuffa championships at both 170Ibs and 185Ibs would be held by training partners that have pledged not to fight each other. Would throw into doubt any planned unification bouts. |

If I hadn't seen the way Shields humped Hendo, I'd say he would get destroyed.
It is a very intriguing match up, but would probably be a bore-fest to watch. |
