In his loss to Griffin his jab reasonably impressed me when he used it as a decoy, but aside from a feint and a lure, he didn't use it that well.

Hmmm... Don't know about that. During the first 4 it's clear that Mike gives him trouble and beffudles him. For me they split those four. After that Roy pulls away and never looks back. He gets into his rhytm and McCallum fades quickly. Roy definitely could put in at least another gear during the last 3-4 rds, but I don't think kindness was the main reason he didn't. Against this calibre of opponent (Hopkins and Toney being other examples) he usually went safety first and coasted through the last rds when he knew he had it in the bag.

I think the best version of McCallum at 160 (Watson, Kalambay II) would give the best 160 version of Jones (Hopkins) all he could handle. Jones would probably win it, but it wouldn't be easy.

Roy was mentally safety first, as evidenced in his fights against elite opposition, hence the reaon why he didn't go full throttle against Mike. Prime for prime would be very interesting.
