Vitali will already fight Adamek in September. This has been known for months now.
Krasniqi the old shot quitter who hasn't been in the ring in 3 years? You shouldn't call yourself a boxing analyst, you evidently don't know much about boxing. |

Ideally, SNV. If not Valuev, then, and I am in the minority here but am going to continue to say my peace, now that Vitaly is 40, there would be no harm in taking a couple of senior fights against Toney, Bowe, Rahmen, Maskaev, Holyfield |

What's Francisco Pianeta doing?
Problem is he has to face someone ranked by the WBC which there isn't much to choose from, or make it a non-title fight which would make it WAY too much risk, little reward for the opponent. It doesn't look good for Vitali at this point trying to fight anyone before Adamek. |

I wouldn't mind Franklin Lawrence, as he's on a roll and fighting Lawrence would show Vitali isn't afraid of a challenge even at 40. But I guess Vitali gets more props for fighting old shot fighters like a Rahman or Liakovich or a Tua.
Valuev, I guess. If not Valuev, then hopefully the best available challenger. Eg someone like Cedric Boswell or Ruslan Chagaev....but Lawrence's name isn't too far behind. If not a good challenge, then hopefully at least a tomato can who will put up an entertaining fight. Someone like Liakovich I guess. I suppose Krasniqi would be the fight to bring in the most cash (outside of Valuev) so maybe we should expect that. For the record I'd rather see Vitali fight Michael Grant than Liakovich. True, Grant was never a champ like Sergei but getting the W over Grant wouldn't be bad for Klitschko's legacy either. |

I think it's scrapped, for which I'm glad. I don't want to see him fight some 40+ year old tomato can or some no-name like Lawrence. Plus I think it was going to prove problematic for him to be in camp the same time as Wlad, since they share a good majority of their team.
I look forward to his fight with Adamek in the fall. Hopefully after that Valuev is ready to get in the ring with him, but I won't hold my breath. Valuev is gonna need a tune up or 2 if he comes back, which I'm not sure he will. |
