Default So apparently HBO wants to make HOPKINS vs DAWSON in Montreal with possibly PASCAL...

So apparently HBO seriously considers making HOPKINS vs DAWSON in Montreal with PASCAL...possibly also on that card in another championship fight, which would be either in November or December. That would be another incredible card offered by HBO !!!

You'll have to translate the info in French from here : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I wish it was Bute in there with Hopkins instead and Dawson Pascal rematch! That shit would be a well PPV!

I'd like to see Cloud-Pascal. If Cloud could weather Pascal early on and not get too wreckless and get KOed, then he might stop Pascal with the level of pressure and volume he brings. Even Hopkins looked like Margarito in terms of pressure against him.

Well him being in Montreal again could also eventually set Bute-Hopkins fight later in 2012, after Bute gets a shot at the S6 winner, as long as he beats Kessler first in the fall.

I'd love to see that one too but It's always Don King and his never ending options that are most likely a problem...

I just hope HBO don't pull the PPV card on us...
(Love Hops.. But on PPV would be a hard sell unless the card is stacked to the gills)

I'd like to see Cloud or maybe Shumenov in there against Pascal. If ****** is as confident about Cleverly as he claims, he could throw him in the mix.

Cleverly still needs a few more fights imo. He's a little green atm. Shumenov is a fighter I've never seen but I'm guessing he's green judging by the amount of fights he's had with very little amature exp. Cloud-Pascal would be a good fight. I think Dawson lost convincingly to Johnson in the fight I saw, but he did look amazing in short spurts.

Smart move by HBO. Montreal is deserving of more big fights whether or not they involve Canadian boxers - and the sport can definitely use more of the electrifying atmospheres that the city can offer.

shumenov doesnt' deserve a fight with a contender and cloud with give pascal all that he could handle, would hope they make that the undercard.

Cleverly/Shumenov would be fun....

@iceferg.... Shumenov is a 2004 Olympian.. He doesn't have many pro fights under his belt... BUT... he was moved quickly... Been in with former world champion and former contenders before jumping into a title fight in his 9th pro fight.... He's still a little green as a pro, but he's solid...

Sounds good. I'd like to see Hops in there with Bute first because I think Bernard will have problems with the rangey Chad Dawson... but if it is Dawson up next for Hops then I'm glad they're showcasing it in a stacked card. And yet again another treat for Canadian fans.
