Default Byron Mitchell

What are your guys thaughts on Mitchell?

He's looking at making another run at Light-Heavyweight. After taking 4.5 years off after his loss to Calzaghe he came back and fought Richard Hall at Cruiserweight only to be stopped in the 4th. He's now moved down to Light-Heavyweight with a few properly matched tune-ups to shake off the rust does anyone think he has anything left at Light-Heavy?

He has some good wins over Frankie Liles, 2 Wins over Manny Siaca, and a draw with Bruno Girad but it seems hes one of those guys who just couldnt take it to the next level when stepping up.

taking 5 years off shows where his heads at.

most probably came back for the money.

very humble man though and hope he is able to enjoy the money he should have banked out of the sport and bought his house and have some left over.

I agree with Sean, five years off is too much. I thought the man was pretty talented back in the day & lets not forget he was the first man to knockdown Joe Calzaghe.

It's a shame when we see fighters having to do this as I feel there is a high chance they'll get bashed up. Needs must I guess.

Even in his two losses he did pretty good. He dropped a close decision to Ottke and put Calz on his seat before being stopped himself. But all in all I think he should stay retired.

Say he fights a series of tune-ups 3/4 at Light-Heavy against basic opposition and stays active. I think hes capable of one last title fight, and thats all he wants

Mitchell was a very good fighter during his best days, but he needs to give it up.
