How Many PPV Buys Will Mayweather vs Ortiz Do?

I'm not sure, first guess is 1.2M-1.4M.

Mayweather has a good core of fans, there are plenty of people who want Floyd to lose and the Latino fans should be out in force. In fact, the Latino fans could push this up to 1.5M+ if it's marketed right, IMO.

Your thoughts?

Probably what you listed, but to me, this fight is a let down because this is something he could have done 2 years ago.

But then again, who was Ortiz then?

Great points. It's good timing for Floyd, to fight Ortiz now.

One has the Latino fanbase on his side and the other is the biggest draw in boxing. Expect replays of Ortiz KOs for months before the fight.

Im thinking 1.5 I think Ortiz will also have the American support being that he is from Kansas.

I bet Pac fights Ortiz after PBF beats him and does a little over 1 Mil haha.

Although the NFL would not conflict with this fight, if there is no NFL by September, there will be a lot of guys with more disposable income and time on their hands, and I think it would do that much better.

I'd put it in the 1.4 range for now.

It's a good match up IMO and seems closer than it is after Ortiz' phenomenal performance against Berto so will do very well.
