Erik Morales announced on June 5th that he is retiring. No more fighting for hopes or plans of a "farewell fight." It is official.

Evander Holyfield hasn't fought since May of 2011. He is 52 years old. Safe to take him off the list now.

Thething about retirement while at least for me is that I need for the person announcing the retirement to stay out for a year before I take them at their word.

Shane Mosley and Glen Johnson are prime examples of this. Remember the promise Bernard Hopkins made to him mother to stop.

Thank you.....Im thinking about Glen Johnson and keep in mind that Arturo GAtti got into the HOF not because of his boxing skill, but his "style".

I'm thinking whether or not Jhonny Gonzalez belongs on that list. Hes vastly underrated and he did beat some good fighters, despite losing badly in other fights.

Damn you got me...I read through 9 pages of this thread just to see when you were going to remove Guerrero of the list.

There is no set definition for Hall of Fame credentials and it's not just about resumes. With the greatest of respect to the guys that are in it, it is basically more of a glorified popularity contest, therefore Froch is far more likely to get in than Dawson (and probably Donaire too).

Froch has done more to capture the imagination of boxing fans than Dawson, with thrilling fights, epic rivalries with Kessler and Groves, selling out arenas in a few different countries, setting PPV records in the UK, ducked nobody, got to the Super Six final, etc.

Dawson meanwhile struggles to sell out his own living, has had very few entertaining fights, does poor TV ratings, and basically has zero personality. He will be remembered for decent wins in boring fights over some old fighters in USA but little else.

I know alot of people don't like him ,but if Broner wins a title at 140 ,that's almost a shoe in.

If he did he would be one of two on these lists who did not headline on a PPV.

I dont believe Wonjongkam should be eligible for HOF.
