Default Witter vs Gavin October 27th

On the Cleverly undercard. looking like a decent card for a poor main although Witter vs Gavin could be a stinker.

I'm a fan, yes.... and I've met him a couple of times, he's a great lad.

I just think he lacks focus, and in all honesty think that it's not going to happen for him in the pro ranks.

Should have stayed amateur. Wouldn't surprise me if this fight got pulled, plenty of time for a row about .

Despite his criticisms, Witter is a handful for anyone.

Also, Witter will be up for this, a final hurrah maybe.

no foregone conclusion this, especially with how negative gavin is in fights and we know how negative witter is in fights

witter might get robbed though

patience has worn thin with gavin though, nobody really cares about him as much as before. hes lost the buzz he had surrounding him about how he would be a certain world champ etc.

I think its one of those bills that could either way to be honest.

I admit that the main event is not the most intriguing, but you just never know if its the fight where we finally see if Cleverly can give us a showing worthy of a champion; ok the guy he's fighting is not the worlds best, but he is no bum either and you never know.

The undercard interests me more though.

The Maccarinelli/McKenzie fight is an accident waiting to happen, so it has 'car crash' aspect to it in my opinion.

The Witter/Gavin fight could be pretty good if it proves to be a 'breakthrough' fight for Gavin, with him finally delivering a professional performance on a par with his amatuer days.

On the other hand it coul be a real stinker, if a negative Gavin turns up and Witter gets into his groove then it could be a twelve round snoozefest.

Then again going on previous form the odds are that he won't turn up anyway!

Just everything really.

By all accounts he's happier down south than he was in Manchester, but he hardly ever gets in the ring....

He might be off the booze, but something still isn't right. Maybe it's something that he can't correct.

I've said a few times that he might be on the slide already, given that he's the same age that Hatton was when he started on the slippery slope... the difference is that Ricky had beaten Tszyu and others.... the best guy Frankie has beaten used to play football for a living.

Their lifestyles are comparable. Not wanting to get on his case, but it's just my opinion.

Make or break for Frankie if they take this fight. He should do clean enough work to beat Witter who will try his best to bring Gavin down to his level and look like shite.
