Default Cleaning up our sport

What can we do to prevent horrendous decisions like Herrera vs Garcia & Lara vs Canelo? Or we can't?

How many more black eyes can your diehard fan take before he says enough is enough?

The decision wasn't horrendous, but one card was.

There can be done a lot about judges like that, problem is it never has and probably never will. As long as I watch boxing I've seen completely insane scores, and when watching classics from the 60's and 70's I'm often amazed how bad the scoring was back then.

The bigger names, homefighters, guys with better promoters, or crowd favorites will almost always het the nod when the fight is even remotely close.
Fouling, cheating and such are often overlooked too, except if the "other guy" does it.

It's not a problem from the last decade(s), it seems it has always been that way, only then there was no internet forum to discuss it.

we can start it by declaring all drug test records public.

Good one, everything from the announcing, punch stats, and the decision was a complete disgrace to boxing.

1) Make the judging criteria less subjective. Rounds should first be judged on clean punches landed, then on punches landed but not cleanly, and that's it (maybe even clean punches only). The other criteria like ring generalship, effective aggression and defence only lead to ambiguity.

2) Have more than three judges. Currently it only takes one or two corrupt or incompetent judges to screw up a fight, with more judges one erroneous scorecard becomes less significant. The problem with this is it's probably not financially possible for small hall fights, and it should be the same at all levels of the sport.
