Default Domestic Superfights in 2013 you'd like to see...

Geale/Mundine II got me thinking of what some of the best domestic superfights would be. Maybe less obvious ones too... Superfight doesn't mean it has to be Hagler/Hearns, but is a relative term here, so the fight might not be super to you, but to the native country in discussion or for the reality of the match up on paper...

Some good ones I'd like to see:

112, Japan- Winner of Igarashi/Yaegashi vs. Ioka; Ioka would be jumping in weight again for this

147, Argentina- Matthysse vs. Maidana; classic choice been thrown around for a couple years now

108/105, Mexico- Mario Rodriguez vs. Moises Fuentes; at 108 if Fuentes beats Nietes, 105 unification otherwise

140, Russia- Khabib Allakhverdiev vs. Denis Shafikov; a good match up, makes the WBA/IBO titles more relevant for further unifications

112, Philippines- Jaro vs. Megrino II; both '12 Pong conquerors and career journeyman

115, Japan- Sato vs. Kono II; a natural unification

115, Thailand- Singwancha vs. Rungvisai II; Thailand's two best coming off L's in need of a big win

135, Cuba- Gamboa vs. Abril; I see this one making for a good fight, and a good match for Gamboa's first at LW

What about you? Any you'd like to see? There are a ton of US and UK ones I chose not to list.

Good call.

The rematch aspect was the whole reason I was talking about it a bunch after Kono upset Tepparith...

Anyway in the UK:

Tyson Fury vs David Price (and winner vs Haye)

Kell Brook vs Amir Khan

Scott Quigg vs Carl Frampton

Nathan Cleverly vs Tony Bellew 2 (winner vs Carl Froch)

George Groves vs James Degale 2

Any combination of Macklin, Murray and Barker

Any combination of Mitchell, Rees and Murray

Kid Galahad vs Jamie McDonnell

Really dig all of these, especially Quigg/Frampton and Macklin/Murray/Barker.

Check our list and you'll find majority of the champs the country produced won a title at flyweight.

But nevertheless, a match at 108 between Donnie Nietes and Johnriel Casimero is enticing.

Really liking these two...

Bute though already has too much going against him to jump up to LHW to take on one of the best there... too much if you ask me.

Ortiz vs. Rios would be an epic war. Don't know how Rios carries to 147, but all signs point to an iron chin whereas with Ortiz's chin... eh, not so much hahah.
