I agree. I have seen Froch give the same interview to them 4-5 times since he went back on Sky. The Bute stuff was a bit different because of the threat he posed but its basically the same cr*p even on ringside. Now we are going through the whole 'two warriors', 'back in the gym with Robert', 'healthy carbohydrates' stuff. I'm not saying it isn't true its just boring to anyone who actually cares.

Or maybe ask Froch if he thinks there is any validity to being branded an ingrate because he left Mick? Only ask this question, because I have taken a shine to the word 'ingrate', it should be used more often in interviews.

****** can't be all that since he helped manage Joe Calzaghe to becoming the best boxer of his, or any generation.
Takes skilled match making to give a world class fighter the kind of opponents so that they can develop into the best ever seen. |

What Calzaghe is this? Joe Calzaghe, the one I know off, spent 85% of his career fighting traffic wardens and takeaway deliverymen. Was the laughing stock of boxing, much like Cleverly is currently, for nearly a decade. He finally stepped up and had some big fights which he won but by then it was a bit late in the day. FW held him back for years and Calzaghe's career will always be one of unfilled potential in the eyes of many boxing fans because of it. |

Robinson is up there due to his record. Ali up there due to his fame and charisma perhaps. Calzaghe is up there just because he is the best all round fighter any of us will ever likely witness. Perceived resume is important for most fighter's reputations, but when you are as good full stop as Calzaghe was then it does not matter that the likes of Leonard, Duran and Hagler were not around for him to beat up. He doesn't need to prove a thing. (Calzaghe probably has less renowned names than any other GOAT contender on his resume) |
