As a big fan of Nana Konadu it's not a fight I like re-watching, but Tapia stopped him getting off and put on an absolute clinic that night.

The athletic amateur standouts and flashy guys of today could learn a lot from Tapia. He moved and used his natural speed, but he fought as well, and put together combinations and committed to the body.

I was never a massive fan but he was top drawer, tough as old boots and cane through some serious adversity again, and again, and again.

His fractured career only shows what pure natural talent he was. Skill, and a real fighter.

Mi vida loca indeed.

This is really sad news. I read his book and he has a really horrific childhood. He cheated death numerous times. I hope that he is now reunited with his mother, he deserves that.

the school bus tragedy is what grabbed me as many others. If some other dude went through his tragedies and survived, they would claim some sainthood or Prophet-hood.

That was terrible, but the brutal killing off his mother, how he found out about and how he was never allowed to grieve was heartwrenching. I was numb reading all about that. His long suffering wife is a saint for all of the trouble she has had to endure over the years and for saving his life countless times.

Has the cause of death been released yet

Been thinking alot about him the last day and night, had a really tough childhood, despite his mother dying he was used pretty much day in day out as a punch bag by his elder cousins. Makes you think how lucky some of us are.

As been said earlier, his book is amazing and a must read if you can get a copy
