Default wards next true test, kovalev or ggg

hes cleaned out the sm division, froch (as much of a fan i am of his) would go same as the 1st fight, so which fight would you prefer ward to take?

ggg would have to move up as no way is ward slimming down to mw, would ward get enough credit for this? he been at lh before so would rather see him against kovalev, think he would get alot more credit for it too, btw i think ward would ud both but which would he get more credit for and which would be better for his legacy

no off topic please ex(ward wont fight outside of his home town, his refs etc)

I really think, it depends if ward moves down in weight, or if GGG moves up.
GGG might hit hard at 160, but will it be the same at 168, not so sure.

Ward ain't coming down, he already fights big for a SMW - 180+ I think, it'd be GGG moving up to 168. If anything though it'll be a Froch fight first however so we should be able to tell how his power translates. TBH I don't think it'll be a big issue however, I think there'll be enough power to do the job even if it's slightly decreased relatively.

A GGG - Ward fight would boil down to a battle of offensive vs defensive skill IMO, and right now I'd still be thinking Ward takes it, but I think we've yet to see Golovkins ceiling so it's hard to call.

Neither. I'd want him to face the much more proven Superman.

GGG hasn't beat anybody good, he needs to fight Quillian or Martinez before he looks outside of the divison.

why not try and fight both?

seems like the best idea.

i'd pick him to beat GGG. but Kovalev would end up wreaking him.

Ward was offered kovalev but he didn't want any of that.

He was even willing to travel to jokeland.

Goussen is still to reply.

At 168 I think he beats both of them quite comfortably; both he and Froch are EXTREMELY conditioned to that weight, more so than anyone else in any other weight class and to jump up/down to meet either of them is a much taller ask than it would be to challenge someone else at a different weight.

Dropping or jumping to meet them however puts the fights into completely different perspectives. I think the cut to 160 might bother him enough to lose to GGG; meeting Kovalev at 175 I think would be a lot more of a natural move and makes for a very interesting fight. I think he'd move up reasonably comfortably and win a standard Ward decision kinda fight, similar to what he did against Froch

I seriously hope we get Ward-Kovalev within the next 2 years. To me that will be THE fight to make.

Agreed. Stevenson has even called him out.

So everyone at 160 besides Quillin & Martinez is "bad"?

Source? With quotes from Duva? I call BS.

Not true, and taken out of context. Main Events chose to go with the Cleverly fight because of the uncertainty associated with Murat clearing up his issues and clawing back that mandatory status - which he did. You got nothing.
