Whether I believe he can win the world title is immaterial -- I didn't think a lot of guys who won world championships would do so.

Take the case of the obviously seriously mentally ill Abraham Lincoln, who had the audacity to run for president of the U.S. -- and become the greatest president in the history of the country -- after:

- Losing his job and losing a race for state legislature
- Failing in business
- Having a nervous breakdown
- Being defeated for speaker of the house
- being defeated for nomination for congress
- losing renomination after he finally was elected
- being rejected for the lowly office of land officer
- being defeated for the Senate
- being defeated for nomination for Vice President
- being defeated for the Senate

Guess he was too delusional to quit.

I hear that Churchill fellow had quite a few failures before he became the greatest leader in the history of the UK. Must have been a madman.

I hope when you are really up against it, you find the courage to shake off the defeats life has handed you and try again. That is what defines a person -- not how many times knocked down, but how many times one gets up.

I will, out of honest concern, point out that your emotional response to Audley winning a boxing tournament and believing that he still has a chance to become a world champion seems a bit obsessional. You say you can't stand it, that you think people who don't agree with you are dangerous. Please, please, seek some counseling. I fear you may be delusional and mentally ill.
Please stop embarrassing the lad. It's getting brutal.

BORKED

Take note OP.

it does seem his mental illness is working for him.

he's like a zombie that won't fucking die... goes down, gets back up. goes down, gets back up... and on and on it goes.

i think his next opponent will need to bring a shot gun to the ring with him to keep him down.

but then again, it is Audley we're talking about. he'd just tell us he's serious this time, and nothing was going to stand in his way of becoming heavyweight champ... but with a hole in his head.

he's merely promoting his business, which is himself. He's plying his craft and trying to make money at it.

What is the big deal? Strong self confidence and self promotion are what fighters are supposed to have.

What is mentally ill about Audley merely trying to promote himself?

i think audley is delusional, in thinking he can be a world champ unless its sum WABCD belt. He has no chin or heart to be an elite boxer,

he could be a good domestic boxer, but i understand he wants money.

i dont understand the fools that would pay money to see him fight. If no one paid to see him it would all stop.

I can't believe that naive people don't see his cheap and vacuous rhetoric for the con-job that it really is.

And did some just seriously suggest that Audley Harrison is a confident person?

The difference is Audley is 40, glass chinned, and has no skills. End of story. Hes not at the start of his career and has a chance. His career is done.
The only person that can decide his career is done, is Audley himself. I don't think Audley was being compared to Floyd P in terms of skills or ability, just making a point that there is nothing wrong in believing in yourself, or to keep getting up and trying. If we all just gave up when things got tough, then we'd get nowhere!

He's got the right attitude, whatever he does or he doesn't achieve, he's still there giving it a go. If he goes and grabs a Brit or Euro belt and maybe gets to fight one more time for a version of the world title but goes out on his shield it's nothing to be ashamed of.

I will admit I like to poke fun at Audley and I did too, just before the prize fighter, but I can't fault the man's drive and determination. he scrubbed off a lot of weight, came in lean and light, and mobile. Throwing jabs and letting the left hand go. Sure it was limited opposition. Even Audley wouldn't claim he was fighting top guys but you could see he was a level above and won quite easily.

So why not, if he keeps in shape, keeps trying hard in the gym and gets his head screwed on and focused, he could still achieve something in the sport, that he says has got the love for again.

And these digs your trying to have at me... use something factual or sensible rather than peeling off some shit that sounds like something your mum used to say to you when you were being bullied at school you faggot.

You are as deluded as Audley Harrison. Let him carry on with sharada then i don't really care I'm just stating an opinion on a boxing site it doesn't effect me emotionally at all you sad twat
