Default Vitor Belfort is almost unbeatable in his home country

Vitor Belfort is 5-0 in his home country Brazil. If he got a title shot at Jon Jones right now in Brazil, Belfort would more than likely win.

I have followed MMA for about 15 years already. There had been times when Belfort seemed to be unstoppable. But he has a lot of losses on his MMA record. But I think that he's about 3 times better when he fights in Brazil. I was aware of this before his forth UFC fight in Brazil against Luke Rockhold. I just knew he was going to win those fights in his home country.

Belfort has never been my favorite fighter, but if he has any UFC fight in Brazil, epsecially against an opponent from a foreign country, I would bet on him to win.

But the fight i would want to see next for Belfort would be against Alexander Gustaffson. Now I think that would be a fair fight if it takes place in Brazil.

Maybe because they don't test for steroids in Brazil?

Vitor Belfort should retire undefeated in his home country. He KOed Luke Rockhold who is now the number 1 contender for the MW title. If Rockhold wins the title,,then that win over Rockhold will be even more impressive. It doesn't matter which weight class Belfort fights in. He will beat anyone if he gets to fight them in Brazil.

Not sure he's 'about 3 times better'... I'd probably say about 2.7 times better.

Whatever. But we both agree that Belfort is much tougher in his home country.
