5:39 of this video Lewis gets hit with a shot in about the same spot, and it appears to be much harder than what Thompson threw
at Price. |

Thompson did not dominate Price. Price was not dominating Thompson. Like most opening rounds it was a feeling out process, with Price getting marginally the better of it. The point at which things looked like they might be getting interesting was early in the second when Price backed Thompson against the ropes and the crowd went mad thinking a knockout was imminent. Meanwhile Thompson calmly weathered the storm and got in a nice counter hook off the gloves. That at least showed he wasn't going to just fall over at the first sign of trouble. The ending really came out of left field though. I doubt even these genius savants above would have been able to predict that. Price needs to rematch Thompson ASAP. He took his eye off the ball for a second and got caught by an experienced operator, but prior to that he was doing just fine. Going the rebuilding route is only going to be detrimental to Price's mindset in the long run. The longer he leaves the rematch the more he might start to think that Thompson was simply too good for him, which I don't believe. He needs to strike while his fighter's mindset is still telling him that it was a fluke. |

Look at the way Price moved his hands/feet when trying to walk Thompson down. He had NO IDEA what he was doing. If you look closely you can even see Thompson smile a few times during breaks in the action, happy that Price was so inept. There were instances where Price literally looked like some random big guy off the street with maybe a year of experience.
Price isn't coming back from shit. He is what, 29? He has no skills or defense, and now we've all seen his chin. Guys like Arreola would absolutely destroy him. |

While I agree that Thompson was out boxing Price for two rounds. I don't think he could have kept it up for much longer. Had he not cought Price with that punch. I think the fight would eventily turned into Price's favor.

Price is a nice guy, I wish him well, but it's obvious he has a glass jaw , he was stopped and KD many times in amateurs , I also think his boxing skills are limited just like his ring IQ that's why many limited guys outboxed him in amateurs .

If you really think that, why have you been unsuccessfully predicting that he would lose to every single opponent he has faced since 2005? Seems strange, no? |
