sergio coming off major knee surgery and would have no chance of cutting to 154.

****ing esb forums.

they need a penalty box to keep some of the dumbshits here out of the general population.

canelo couldve called out both klitschos and still some of you douchebags wouldnt be able to figure it out.

i don't mind it.
true. Even though I doubt Floyd fights at 154 again, I really hope he takes the fight and gives Canelo a lesson

I think Cotto is the most likely opponent win or lose against Trout.

Canelo may have wanted Sergio but Golden Boy sure as hell didn't. And Canelo may have been calling for Mayweather for a while now, but his own trainer confirmed they turned the fight down once already, so his call-outs should be taken with a grain of salt as well.

so he's ducking a lmw paper champ in favour of fighting a mw who has earnt a draw with a top 5 mw?

yeh right, let canelo fight a live opponent or atleast fight a ranked mw before we accuse anyone of ducking anyone.

I'm not calling it a duck.

Just the facts as I know it ,or just what I've read on the scene.

in October Sergio said he would fight Canelo in April or May, but said he knew Canelo would face Cotto because its less risk.

Shortly after team Canelo comes out and say Segio is option 1.

Both guys have expressed interest in facing each other, and for Sergio, Canelo is definitely the more lucrative option than any MW at this point.

I'm not picking a side because I dont know all the facts, kinda the reason for this thread

BOOM! HEAD SHOT... there is a little bit to the story then

-Martinez CALLS OUT CANELO, says they would go for the easier route in Cotto and he would be willing to go 154 to fight him and reclaim his belt but that he knows CANELO ain't gonna fight him.

- Canelos team say they are sitting down until may 5th EYE's Martinez as first Choice but Cotto and Mayweather othe choices.

- Martinez quickly trying to sign a fight for April or May.

Interesting.

If Sergio will be healthy in late April surely he can make the May 4th date. And against one of the bigger names in the sport in Canelo, another oppurtunity for Sergio to get paid.

My question is does ESB see this as a duck?
Canelo's biggest fight in his own division is Lopez or arguably a shot to nothingness Mosley. Why would Martinez be ducking that at middleweight?

Also this isnt some easy, push over fight.

Murray officially drew with, and in most eyes beat Sturm.

I think Martinez wants a fight in front of his home fans in Argentina aswell. Not sure if Canelo is up for that

In order to duck someone, that fighter has to be a proven threat. Canelo is still just hype. This is stupid.
