Prime Baldomir beat up Powlak.

Yeah, he walked facefirst into a huge power combo and went down (and looked a little dizzy for part of the remainder of that round).

Really, all that fight shows is that he has astounding powers of recovery to have gotten up from that and immediately started to break Pinzon's spirit. That's the much bigger headline than the fact that he got dropped. From the moment he got up he pretty much won every second of every minute until the stoppage.

The kid's a machine.

You mean by the referee? That would have been a ridiculously premature stoppage. Those pinoy commentators are retarded.

Wolak went down hard, but subsequently shook off those shots (probably the absolute biggest Pinzon could muster) rather quickly.

Angulo is the favorite here, but based solely on physical assets (bigger and stronger). In terms of skills and other intangibles he is either no better, or is behind Wolak.

I just wouldn't be surprised if the apple cart was upset.

I hope thats a joke.

Angulo is FAR more offensively skilled than Wolak.

Seriously. Angulo brutally stops Wolak, if not makes him take a beating much like Tsurkan.

Yeah I'd like for IntentionalButt to watch Angulo's fight with Tsurkan and explain to me how Wolak is more skilled.

Neither is terribly skilled. They both just throw long barrages of power punches. The only difference is that Angulo's are harder. Again, he's bigger and stronger (and the fight could very well be determined by his size and strength alone, as expected) but he's hardly got any better technique. He throws the exact same kinds of shots as Wolak; they just produce more fireworks for him due to his physical superiority.

Being more powerful than someone doesn't fall under the heading of "more skilled".

(and yes, I've seen the Tsurkan fight. What about it? Kind of reinforces my point, actually. Raw power & volume getting it done, with a lot of sloppy missing. Angulo is no JMM...)

In NO way did I ever compare Angulo to JMM. I just believe that he has more offensive skill, and better technique than Wolak. Angulo is just SLOOWWW... but he's not unskilled. Not offensively anyway. Defensively.... well, neither Wolak nor ANgulo can even spell defense.

But yeah... I'd see Angulo-Wolak turning into another Angulo-Tsurkan. Even though, Wolak is a far superior fighter than Tsurkan. The result would be similar.

Much as it pains me to say it... I dont think Wolak would beat Kermit the frog either.

Defense, schmefense with both these guys.

Yeah, I don't know that Pawel has quite enough pop to make Kermit panic.
