The staying power of this thread surely means good things for Deontay.

I would advise Matthew Greer who, don't get me wrong, is a helluva fighter -- I would advise him to have a nice steak dinner tonight. Because Deontay has been reading this thread rather dilligently and is, to put it mildly, angry.

What's he angry at? The insults (fair enough), or the legitimate criticisms of his opposition?

No one has. It's obviously a stay-busy fight. But again, Greer DOES have serious power, so regardless of skill, it's still a mild test of Deontay's defense.

You know, it's really hilarious: The Wilder-bashers laugh that this fight is a joke because Greer is massively below Wilder's level. Yet, they also claim that Wilder has no skills, no defense, and a glass jaw.

How exactly do you put those all together? Idiots.

(See what I did there?)

That's childish. Threads about a talked about fighter always spring up around the time of a fight, for good or ill.

Besides, what have "us Brittards" actually got to be scared about? I'd love a decent heavyweight contender to rise up from your side of the pond and challenge one of our boys. But you don't go from fighting top 300 to fighting top 15 like that. Not unless you're being fed to the lions.

People have criticised Jonty for his glacial progression because he's clearly not crap and needs to be testing himself. Instead he's falling behind. British or not, those are legitimate criticisms, and it has nothing to do with fear or desperation. The opposite in fact.
