when you spar, friends or not, let them know before if you plan on going hard, or if you plan on taking it a bit slow and working on technique.

Im friends/acquaintances with all my regular sparring partners outside the ring. Inside the ring we arent friends... of course i wouldnt take cheap shots or the things you try and get away with in a real fight but both of us are trying to get better... there is no reason to take it easy on someone.


*this is all considering equal boxing experience...

Hi guys thanks for all the awesome replies

I think you guys nailed it when you mentioned conditioning,
not being used to following up after connecting with a solid punch,
and being fearful of being countered while going on the offensive.

Cardio and conditioning I feel is a universal thing most people can achieve if they work hard and are persistant with it. Including myself too.

However the psychology of not stopping or hesitating after landing a "wobbler"
and dealing with the fear of getting countered I sense might take a bit more work..
