Default Re: The underlying reason as to why Deontay Wilder is so despised

I actually feel a little bad for him because Deontay is the only one in his camp who isn't in on the scheme.

He has no idea that his team's endgame wasn't a Klitschko unification, but a cash-out against Povetkin.

They know the Russians will pay dearly for that title and he'll make even more against Povetkin than he would against Klitschko. All this talk of him fighting Klitschko late next year has him focused on the wrong thing. His team knows it, but are continuing to delude him into thinking Wlad is the endgame when his focus needs to be 100% on Povetkin.

It seems that the main underlying reason as to why he is so despised is because he is American. Expectations of him are suddenly much higher even though he isn't very far into his career. Sure he has 30 fights, 5 years into his career. But he is being slowly brought into public eye. He is simply taking a different route than most fighters.

He is constantly living under the expectations that he will be the next Tyson and if there are ANY slip-ups whatsoever, he will hear the full onslaught of the many haters that he has garnered for some odd reason even though he is....

1. Extremely humble, possesses amazing power, 30 kos in 30 fights, fights for his daughter who suffers from an incurable disease

He is also an extremely humble champion who fights for his DAUGHTER who suffers from a severe spinal condition. Very very sad indeed.

Jokes about him being glass jawed are always made despite the fact that he has only been knocked down once in his professional career while for example Manny Pacquiao in his earlier career was knocked OUT twice and put on ***** street by journeyman Hussein.

Just my two cents.
this is beautiful MVC

I think some hardcore fans dislike him because he doesn't deserve to be called a champ, it's an insult to the sport in that someone still as crude and fighting that type of opposition can be a champ.

He is talented, but needs polishing... after that he can try to test his game vs real champs
