You really think the Nishioka that fought, Gonzalez, Marquez, Monroe and donaire was an exceptional fighter? i think you need to show a lot more to be bestowed with that sort of praise.
i agree with the top bit.

Yeah Nishi who beat Munroe and Marquez was exceptional, maybe still is against the right opponent, time will tell.

Supposed it's just arguing semantics, but if i call nishioka exceptional it makes it tough to describe someone like Sahaprom, to say nothing of Olivares, slowfre, Gomez, Harada etc

Yeah, exceptional against B-level and past prime fighters.

Not all that mate, trust.

yeah exactly. If world class is a top rated guy it think exceptional is fair to describe those who make the number one spot, like you say though, its just semantics

Exceptional, IMO, is reserved for the very best 'World class' fighters.

Nishioka was not that, he was bloody good, fair whack with the left hand, could fight, could box a bit, but not exceptional.

Indeed, it is just arguing semantics, but still......

I wouldn't expect an Orientel to push it. Nishioka is done IMO.

No, I mean in terms of looking at Oriental fighters historically. Very unlikely his mentality will carry on, enough instances of them chucking it in after a single loss, at his age, outclassed, dropped, he's done I reckon.

I'm not judging him.
