Default Dean Francis comeback

Looks like Dean Francis is making a comeback after over 3 years out.

Unless he has knocked the wild nights on the head, this could be a very shortlived ring return.

For me very frustrating fighter. I felt like he didnt maximise his potential in his prime, by get into bother, and hanging around with the wrong people outside the ring....or do you just think he went as far as his ability allowed?

Waste of talent really is. The Oakey fight was class but even years before he was really looking promising then he lost on a British Leg of a PPV against Undra White IIRC? (got injured). Never came back from it really.

Hope he bounces back and does well but world title ambitions he once had must be gone really.

I agree mate.

I'm not too sure how far he could have gone, but I always felt he under performed.

I expected more from him, each fight I remember thinking to myself maybe this is the one he goes places.

It never happened though.

I wish him all the luck of course but I don't see how he can expect to do too much now.

I saw his last fight at cruiser and he got tired very quickly and struggled at times with a journeyman.

i remember watching his draw with Joey Vegas, which i thought he was very lucky to get, seems a waste of decent talent

Yes, he mangled his shoulder against White. It was really bad timing as it looked like Francis was on the verge of stepping up to true world class.

I read about this a few days ago.

In his prime (some 15 years ago) he looked world class, he really did. I don't know what to make of this comeback, but at least he is dropping back down to light heavy.

Thanks T . I remember my dad ordering the PPV it was Hamed vs The Pocket Rocket on Halloween night IIRC the Hamed gravestone ringwalk always stays in memory. We had no sound all way through PPV i just remember the fight stopping and seeing him injured.

Sky screwed us over that night! . But least we got to see the fights .

Have seen him sparring in the gym the last few weeks and he looks fit. The question is will his timing be there come fight night?
