athlete's from one sport are not neccesarily good in others, another example is boxer Mayorga in MMA, or even football player Larsen as a boxer

Larsen's boxing career has arguably been more successful than his football one. Also, don't ignore his achievements in shot put, javelin, discus, judo, bench press and chess.

He's a good poster when he wants to be but his routine gets tiresome after a while. It is interesting that you pull me up but Seamus gets a free pass as per usual. There is a bit of a tendency towards cliquishness on Classic sometimes I think.
I think you miss read that Griffo,

I was referring to Seamus' remark, but more so all posters who prefer attack and insult rather than reveiwing opinions or worse ignoring documemted fact.

I am on your side and the side of all the other considerate respectfull posters.

Was trained by Ingle. Great athlete who never really made it as a boxer.

Reid is not a great Kickboxer. He had 4 fights in K1 and lost all 4. I think he held the WBO intercontinental title for a while but when u compare him to 9 time world champ likes Kaman or 4 time GP winner Hoost there is no comparison!

He was also a terrible boxer losing to Juius francis and Orlin Norris etc In fact he actually vacated the European belt i believe to avoid VK in the boxing ring.

I was expecting a fairly straightforward 'whatever happened to Pele Ried' type thread
