I didn't see his fight tonight, but heard he won. Last time I saw him against the Irish guy, he looked very good. He showed good timing and counter-punching...
How did he get on tonight, and what do you think of him as a prospect? |

He's a good fighter, He's very focused walked along Wembley Way with him. Didn't bother him could see he's mentality was in the zone. Even holds his own spit bucket
As a fighter i thought his inside work was very classy, kept side on with foot on inside of the opponents legs and created leverage for shots well and maintained position with nice variation. Has nice variety and landed a peachy left hand that dropped the guy. My main issue with John is lack of a jab and set ups for punches. He's strong, committed and talented with some nice skills but tends to punch in ones. Love to see him flow a little more with punches put together and set up the punches more with feints and punches to create openings. Good fighter though, He's ready for title level. He and Eddie know this.. |
