I'm pretty sure sky got loads of complaints after the Harrison and Klitschko fights. Also fighters shouldn't automatically be on box office like Haye. It should be the fight that makes it PPV or not. Haye v a world champion or Fury is PPV material but Haye v anyone else isn't PPV material.

It definitely will be.

That's exactly the logic. Quote:
The Harrison fight, well, everyone who followed boxing knew it was a mismatch. But plenty of folk on here got into the hype. That's not Sky's fault. I watched it in a packed pub in Glasgow and not a single person complained. They thought it was hilarious. People apply their disappointment and childish bitterness and start stories like "people complained", "Haye ruined PPV", etc. |

Haye's: Harrison and Kiltschko fights where a complete and utter success. Fans make fights box office, not the fighters. If it makes money, it makes sense and is a success. Every fight Haye made with Sky was a success, if the Harrison fight was a failure..? why did people buy the Kiltschko fight..? Boxing at its core like Mike Tyson stated..."Is a metaphor for life, everybody can relate to it, because life is a fight itself". David Haye knows how to create a story line, all of his fights kind of link together and create a story. One minute he is the villain, the next minute he is the Hero slaying Chisora, before all of that he was the Brave hero once again slaying Valuev! These little story lines, are needed in order to attract the casual fans who are mostly retards. David Haye probably has more material to work with during his comeback, than his last career. Because there are more heavyweights in Britain who are also on a quest for a World Title. I hope he fights on regular Sky or Box Nation to be honest! Because i honestly think in the long term this is better for promotion. Box Office is overrated. |
