Default What is your last resort startegy to to get off the ropes?

For me (its been effective so far) as soon as I'm in the corner for longer than 15 seconds, I just start swinging as fast as I can (typicaly to the body to back them up). But, this is sort of a last resort, if the person can bullie me back in, or just shoves me, and I know I can't get out anyway, thats what I do.

Do a ''turn around'' move or counter and step away.

I've seen a clip of Mayweather stuck to the ropes, the guy was throwing volleys of left, right, left, right, at him and Floyd is in half guard slipping each from side to side. The whole spontaneity of his back to the wall defense just looked like he was doing a wriggle... That was really nice defense.

Dont really know of my last resort but most of the time I try to fight off which is a bad move for me or try to slip a right hand and kinda run out of there.

That was against Lovemore N'dou. He was just twisting and turning depending on which side the punch came from.

N'dou was beginning to get beaten up, the end looked near but then he dug deep and came back with a huge barrage of punches. I think he threw 100 punches in that round!

15 seconds is way too long to be on the ropes. The ref will give you an 8 count before 15.

Thats my 2nd to last. I did that one yester day. The person was pushing me back and into the ropes. The first round I was able to push him around and bully him, but the 2nd round he really had a mindset to do that. At one point I was in the corner, and I spun him into it, but he slithered out before I could do anything major.

I don't mean getting pounded on, I typicaly won't give them a chance too. Of course then again, I just used the longest time Ive been on the ropes/in a corner. Really, the average for me is probably around 5-10 seconds. So on average about 7.
