I Saw one video a while ago Kimbo was fighting with another guy and he did beat Kimbos Ass. He aint a boxer he is some kind of street fighter but with not enough endurance as a boxer.

I am suprised that Kimbo made it out of 1 round of sparring with Grant. Maybe if he's actually training his staminia will be better. Still I am 80 percent sure that Mercer wins this bout. I'll give Kimbo a small chance due to Mercer's age and a small possibility of being taken down.

kimbo is very strong but his muscles need oxygen and like others have said he would be able to hold up his guard after about 4 minutes.

ray mercer is one of the most decieving fighters that i have seen. he doesnt have the greatest physiqe but gold medalist and very debatable fight against lewis makes me think that if anything, mercer will see a window in kimbos defense and use the experience that he has.

im thinking that this will look like tim witherspoon against a very poor mans frank bruno.

He hasn't flat out said it, but he doesn't seem to really be bringing in top guys or going out to good camps. He keeps saying things like "one punch in 4oz gloves..." and "I'm a boxer, I tend to use that as my main game plan" which while both are true, both are also usually what you hear from fighters who lack a backup gameplan, he hasn't come right out and said only boxing will be enough, but he sure hasn't made it clear if he is taking the other parts of the game seriously at all.

Gannon is a pretty good boxer, multiple time golden glove winner in Boston, but never really a pro prospect or anything. He also is a state Judo champ and has won a few grappling tournaments in New England. He seems like a guy who is pretty good at everything but can't really either focus on one thing and be great at it, or put it all together and be great at MMA.

He got the ever loving shit beat out of him by Brandon Lee Hinkle at UFC 55, but thats not too big of a knock against him, Hinkle is a ****ing beast of a wrestler and has been fighting MMA since the bare knuckle Vale Tudo days in Brazil.

Just because kimbo has brought in a famous name for the last 2 weeks of his training doesnt mean that mercer hasnt been working with good coaches. How many boxers reveal what they have done in training? Mma is funny, they all join teams, whereas in boxing they set up their own training camps in secluded places.
Mercer has been working with coaches from ATT, joe Diamond`s acmma and shore kick karate mma for his jj, as well as boxing trainer mike hall.
