Ha, its comical people are making the exact same mistakes as they did with this fight. Stop just thinking about size as the primary criteria, please.
The judges don't score that round 10-9 cos you look big in there. And you've gotta hit the guy to KO him. |

Margarito won't have too much trouble finding him and once the punches start landing from a 147 pound monster, Pacquaio will start to feel it. Will probably play out exactly like the Cotto fight. It doesn't matter how good you are, if you're not big enough/punching hard enough to stop a monster from literally running after you around the ring, then you're going to be in trouble. |

Margarito will just bully Pacquiao against the ropes tapping that body like what he did against Cotto. He will land a crap load of uppercuts and hitting Pacquiao with an over hand right. Pacquiao does not have the power to hurt Margarito. If Cotto couldnt hurt him no way in hell Pacquiao can. Pacquiao has great stamina but Margarito has better stamina. He will get crushed later on in the fight after Margarito turns up the heat like he always does.

Yeah but DLH wasn't in a lot of peoples p4p top 10. And Margo isn't 35 he is relentless and won't be hurt. He will find Pac. DLH wouldn't even throw. Pac is an amazing fighter but come on.. a step to far.

It's not about being slick, its that Pacquiao is quick and is accustomed to fighting guys that are small and fast. He saw Hoya's shit coming a mile off, and Margarito rivals him for having the speed of a snail. It would be even easier for Pacquiao to land scoring shots against Margarito, and he doesn't even need to hurt him considering his gameplan is likely to go 12. I'm not even picking Pacquiao yet, I just thought I'd oppose what you are saying because its the same boring stuff that was said before this fight. People need to take a different tact to analysing these things. Yes, think about size, if every attribute is equal the bigger guy probably wins. But that is never the case, so everything comes into play. |

But when discussing Margarito fights, no matter who he is fighting, the outcome is mostly dependent on size.
If Margarito fights anybody who can match him physically, I find it hard to see him winning, because his handspeed is pathetic and he loses most of his advantages. But against a midget like Pac, Margarito would be beating him like a red headed step child. Margarito can chase after Pac without fear of being shook, without fear of being stung.....what can Pac do to keep him off him? And Margarito will land, he throws far too punches not too, even the ones that hit elbows and arms have an effect later on. No chance Pac wins this, not a chance in hell. |

well, he'd give him problems with his movement, speed, combinations and overall rhythm but nah....it would probably be like Cotto-Margarito but worse, Marg would chop him down eventually, but it would be competitive
