Louis vs Schmeling is a great example. Schmeling had that perfect counter and was able to do it succesfully all night long.

Ali vs Liston I is another. Although that was more based on speed and reflexes, he did completely neutralise Liston's jab, which is considered (not by me) as one of the best in history.

yeah many thought Ali would have trouble with the jab of Terrell. On paper it looks like he would (tall guy with long reach and a very good jab) but we know what happened in reality.

Terrell didnt relly used the jab. He just seem to charge in head first in that fight for some odd reason.

Yep. Perhaps intimidated by Ali's speed or even persona, Terrell's fighting skills vanished in front of our eyes.

nick wells over larry holmes due to nicks inside approach on larry.nick knew larry had a weapon with his jab and got in close to larrys trunks therefore eliminating larrys jab.this was done in the amateurs of course and done twice, with nick scoring kos in both bouts.

I would say marciano vs Moore...More was doing a very good job early on dicatatin space and the pace of the fight as well as taking rounds based largely upon his jab (If my memory serves?)...Around the 5th-6th or so Marciano either took that weapon away from him or moore abandoned it to fatigue, punishment or something along that line...I felt that if he could have maintained it he may have been able to pull off a shocker...Marciano didn't allow him to get comfortable over the final third of the fight.

Golota nuetralised Bowe's jab simply by having a faster, better one. Also good parrying and slipping.

Bernard Hopkins vs Antonio Tarver. It was impressive because A) Tarver had a good jab and B) Tarver was a rangy southpaw. If you want to know how to fight a rangy southpaw, watch Hopkin's-Tarver. It's probably my favorite Hopkins fight.

Corrie Sanders rendered Wladimir's ATG Jab completely irrelevant by hitting him multiple times on the chin and face.
