Default Classic Poster's opinion of Collazo vs. Berto?

Andre Mike Berto - a young undefeated champion who has excellent talent with a formidable combination of power and speed. Heavily invested in by HBO, he is untested on a world-class level up until tommorows fight. He has dominated his competition so far, his resume highlighted with names like Steve Forbes and David Estrada. He has shown that his chin can be cracked, as he has been legitimately knocked down before.

Luis Collazo - A hungry, wily southpaw veteran. He possess good counter-punching and tight defense, and he brings to the fight his experience, skill, and speed. He possess miedocre power. His resume is highlighted by a close fight with Ricky Hatton in which Hatton ended the fight on wobbly legs, and a one-sided domination by Shane Mosely, though Collazo was doing quite well before injuring his hand. This fight will determine an official demotion to 'division gatekeeper', probably never to recover.

Who wins and how? What fight in history would you point to as being similar to this and is in support of your prediction?

....................I've been thinking Collazo is a real live underdog in this one; Berto has been rushed into the spotlight a bit, and is still rather raw. In another age, he'd merely be approaching top-20 type levels, while today he's paraded around as a world champ.

Collazo is tricky, but my gut feel is that he'll get outworked and lose a decision. It is possible that he could counter Berto early and step it up for a late stoppage. If I were in Vegas now, I'd put a little money on Collazo just for kicks.

Yeah nice call Sans! I had it 115-112 Collazo.

I Like Collazo alot more now he's Blue Collar. I wounder what the future holds for him, its too bad folks kinda sorta look down on fighters now because their not undefeated.

I didn't write my scores down but I felt like Collazo won it. I don't think 114-113 for Berto is a robbery, but the other judge had it 116-111, which is absurd.

Especially when you consider Berto's point deduction for holding in what I believe was round 5. That means that judge would have scored it 117-111 with out that deduction. Did you see 9 rounds close enough to give Berto a 10- anything?
