Default Boxing with asthma

My younger brother likes copying me and now wants to start boxing too but he has really mild asthma and takes Advair for it. hes wondering if that's a good idea to box with it- he says he can breathe ok he just wheezes ( I say no). Now I'm wondering if a medication like that'll disqualify him in competitions( because don't some asthma meds have small amounts of steriods?) I'm reading the back of his med box and it says it "contains fluticasone propionate and salmeterol xinafoate" Whatever the hell that is. So I'm wondering if he'll even pass a drug test.

If he uses albuterol he'll be fine. An albuterol inhaler won't cause a positive tox screen; although you might want to compare those to the banned substance list. And they don't usually drug test except at major events like the Olympic Trials; they do random testing at other events but not frequently.
