How will Fedor do with Barnett

He is a whole other type of fighter. He is a big guy and knows how to use his weight.

We all know Fedor is insane on the ground but this is a fight I really want to see. I love both fighters.

Fedor will knock him down I guess. They are equal on the ground when it comes to wrestling skills, but Fedor has much better standing game, GnP and submission skills. Barnett's only real advantage is his weight - I doubt it will be enough.

While I think Barnett would beat AA hes an easier style match-up for Fedor than AA, I think. Fedor is a better grappler, definitely way better off his back, and Barnett isn't a wrestler remember, he doesn't pose that sort of threat that Couture would have. At least Arlovski had the edge in striking (in theory lol) Josh doesn't have any real style adv. imo.

I agree - Barnett has no stylistic advantages - but he is a well rounded mixed martial artist. It could be a great fight that goes a few rounds. It's been a while since Fedor has been extended into the final round.

Barnett doesnt pose too many problems for Fedor. From guard Fedor can own him. From the mount he can pound him into submission the same way CC did. Standing up his a more powerful but not as refined striker in terms of pure boxing. Matters not either way as Fedor will win.

I think the fight would look similar to the Aleks-Barnett fight, except Fedor would finish Josh off when he hurts him.
