Default heavyweights dehydrating for weigh ins??????

i have had 14 pro fights at heavy , myself and every other heavy i know dont try and lose weight for a weigh in? what could possibly be gained for a heavy by dehydrating for a weigh in?

the reason i ask is you always hear commentators say stuff like" he weighed in at 240 so hes probably 245-250 in the ring now etc.."

i have heard it in many big time heavyweight fights and i just cannot think of a reason to do it unless you want to look more cut and intimidate your opponent with your condition?

anybody know if they do it in the big time or is it just commentators babbling about stuff they have no idea about?

some heavyweights that are overweight will try to weight in lower than their actual weight. kirk johnson weighed in 260 for klitschko but he looked more than that. and for big guys like that 10 pound isnt much, you dont have to dehydrate, just take a good shit before the weigh in. I'm 145 lb and once i weighed myself before and after going to the bathroom, i lost 3 lb right there

so i guess the only reason to do it is if you are embarrassed about your weight
