If Green can throw out a challenge to Garay (who is still champion off memory), defeat him and then give Mundine his first defense, that would be a sight to see!

Is this realistic - yes (not easy), will this happen - not a chance.
This is not realistic imo. Garay will not give Green a voluntary defence when Green stuffed him around a year ago.

I don't think thats the issue. Green will never take any high risk fight till the Mundine rematch. He wouldn't want to remove any pre-match hype surrounding the fight and a loss would just cause loss of public interest.

I am sure Khoder has already discussed this with Green when the contracts were signed . . "Do not fight anyone with a PULSE before you fight Choc".

The Mundine rematch is the ONLY thing on Green's mind and all the potential PPV revenue he will generate from it. Until then, he will not risk ANYTHING that will remove any lustre/hype from the fight.

Good call. I'll add this to the scrpit. Mundine definietely deserves a Grammy nomination for his work to date so far posing as a elite fighter. It certainly has been a stellar performance so far in the "performing arts".
Maybe he'll get a job on Home & Away when he calls it a day??

i can't believe how many whingers there are.

if you are ****ed with the possibility of a green - mundine fight then don't ****in watch it. don't read the bloody articles. and make no mistake about it this fight will make ****loads whether you watch it or not.

and why wouldn't it be a fight worth watching?

both guys hate each other and green would rather die then lose to mundine again. and both guys are very talented fighters. after darchinyan and katsidis these two are the best we have got.

You are kidding yourself mate..Danny had all us bogans conned into believing he was going to rip Mundines head off but once the bell rang he done ****..

Danny had his chance and he blew it....BIG TIME...

And dont give me the weight drain bull**** either.75percent of fighters come in2 their bouts way less then 100%..Just a fact of the the fight game.

Im not giving either of these mugs a cent...

And im certainly not buying into any talk of Green prefering death then another loss to the mouth Mundine..

If you believe that then you're as gullible as they come.
They both hardly know each other, and have been respectful to each other during the times that they have met.
It's all just a beat up to draw in suckers like yourself to fork out ridiculous money to see them dance.

Seroiously, I'd rather see guys like Gaele and Bika slug it out. Seeing 2 guys who actually want to reach the heights of boxing rather than just milk the Australian public.

Times 20

Besides, i hate hearing how blokes will give their lives not to get beat.......... What a crock of shhit. Green had all the reasons to kill Mundine in the first fight but came up short.

Mundine is a prixck, but is a better fighter than Green simple as that.

Also, i was annoyed at the excuse his niece died before the fight and Green was affected by this, FFS he should be affected in a good way not bad way.

Just for the record, it wasn't very nice his niece died either

Agree 100%. This so called "feud" between Green and Mundine is full of ****. Buster if you seriously think there is an ACTUAL feud and that these guys really hate each other, your as guilable as they come.

Even a frigging blind man can see this is PURELY a money making exercise. All they are doing is following the script with all the ****talk to lure guys like you into believing this fight is personal. It's BS with a capital B.

The day Mundine decides to fight someone with a pulse I would be happy to fork out my hard-earned, but he aint getting a cent from me if he continues the way he's going. I would MUCH rather save my money and watch real warriors like Vic and Kats looking to take up real challenges.

wow!!

u guys are so sour, fair dinkum.

if u could care less that the two of them will fight each other and have no interest whatsoever, then why are u so hot under the collar about the subject. ignore the bloody thing and move on to a fight u want to see.

these two fighters owe u guys absolutely nothing so why the hatred?

Agree there's no fued between Green and Mundine, it was between Mundine and Fenech, Green was just Fenech's pawn who he never got to cash in on
