Hmmmm I think Small is more than decent and his only loss to Pryce was a bit of a unlucky/premature stoppage.

Dont think Rhodes has looked very impressive in his last two fights either.

I wouldn't be surprised is some of the small bookies lay bets to punters at shorter odds and back at the bigger odds on there.

I agree Betfair isn't much good for multiples (which seem to be away from the exchange on there), but there is Betdaq.co.uk which is also an exchange (which generally offers better prices) and they do multiples as such. I rarely do multiples though...

Anyway...

I broke even this weekend literally 0.00. Backed Diaz, but backed JMM (in play) with some of my possible winings to cover my original stake, when he was behind on the cards. JMM was around 2/1 at one point. Thankfully it wasn't a draw, as I would have been out of pocket.

ON betfair most markets are rounded: For example say you have two boxers with identical chances of winning you'll get evens on both. All you pay is 5% commission on your winnings. They don't run a book as such they make there money through commision. They charge commision to run the exchange, punters bet with each other.

Thats not the case with normal bookies who run books far short of a rounded 100% in order to take a cut themselves. For example Two boxers with an even chance of winning might well both be 4/5, or less, at a normal bookie - the bookie taking the difference on both between 4/5 and 5/5 (evens).

Rather than taking the 5pc commision betfair take - some bookie markets fall 20% or 30% short - or maybe more.

The only trouble with boxing on Betfair is the poor liquidity of the markets, which isn't the case with many other sports on there.

I decided about 20 seconds into the fight to bet on Rogan against Skelton - got odds just 5.8 i think it was, bet £30...

£180

Considering I'm out of a job right now - that's a great windfall for me!

Thanks for that JonOli.

Interesting posts for those that have not used Betfair.

I guess that way you would be guaranteed to be 'up' should Pac win......

Australia at 4/6...only Boucher and Duminy plus the bowlers to come with a bit of life in the wicket...relatively new ball in hand

I put a tenner on at 4/9 when they were 4 down.... I didn't realise the price had changed, might stick another on at 4/6.

[Edit - 5/6 on bet365!]

Hmm I usually don't bet more than £10. I'm thinking Hatton decision, or Pac KO. Will check the odds later...

Also gona put a few quid on Barrera KO'ing Khan.

The Aussie bowlers are garbage mind. I'll leave it alone. Can see Duminy and Boucher stonewalling it.
