6 months fair enough it was bad, But the promoter must shoulder some of the blame as well. Elomar will change his tune pretty soon when he wakes up and see's no promoter or boxing manager outside of Australia cares about him.

I admit it's 3rd hand info but does anyone know if this was found to have occured? That doesn't sound like self defence to me, and given the way they have carried on it would not surprise me.

This whole incident really angered me, I spend so much time defending boxing and it would seem this harnessed nearly as much undeserved attention as a Mundine fight . . . .and now it ends in cries of racism . . . . you gotta wonder sometimes

6 month ban seems fairly light, although i did notice it wasn't backdated to the fight therefore it's more like 9 months.

Personally i think 12 months was about right.
