Default how much do corner men (cutman, 2nd assistant) make?

i've always been curious about this. anyone know? is it a fixed rate, percentage of the purse or does it depend from individual to individual? i've seen rafael garcia work as a cutman on numerous corners through the years with morales, mayweather, hoya etc... the guy probably works 30 fights at least in a year, with around 5 of those being mega fights.

I have no idea but the cut men and Seconds in Millington made decent money, enough to live off of anyway cause I knew a few of them and it was their only job. That wasnt even in the big pro's that was B and C level venue teams.

If I remember right, Freddie Roach gets 10% of Manny's purse, and the cutman only gets paid a specific amount. I dont exactly remember how much. And the whole team receives extra bonuses if Manny wins.

They must make good dough cause these guys are almost like 2nd trainers in camps and corners. Sometimes, cutmen and assistants even get more useful than trainers in advising and even tho the fighter is paying attention to the chief second right in front of him and you can't have everybody talking at the same time... It must depend on how experienced they are when they are wanted by a less known trainer, something like Jack Lowe and Miguel Diaz ( having trained Mayweather, Cotto, Ibragimov and many, many more)... Rafael Garcia is more like a father figure like Big L to Floyd, like Chuck Bodak (RIP) performed more colourfully for many years and in the corners of many famous superstars.

Hattons is a cab driver in London when not doing his cutman job, I dont think they make that much.

It depends I suppose. Some of them must work in the gym too, so that makes a full time job. If you only work for the promoter on the fight night, I don't think it's enough for a living. Like the referees.

General rule of thumb is 10% orflat fee for trainer
5% or flat fee for cutman
33 and a third % for the Manager(or flat fee based on purse)
