I think the fight will be very close but if I had to bet I'd put my money on Taylor at that point. Too much experience and too big a step up for Kelly.
To Taylor's credit this attitude that you speak of where Taylor believes he's "all that and a bag of chips" is an ill-fiting largely manufactured persona created to drum up interest from the casual boxing fan because Taylor, although a champ, has no spectacular qualities about him. With this said, I'm no fan of Taylor and would like a Pavlik win but it's disheartening to see the responses citing Pavlik's race as one of the key determinants that make one hope that he wins.

I wouldn't mind seeing a white american become a top fighter in boxing as well, but not Pavlik. Trust me, he's just a giant at middleweight with no real fluidity in his style. I want to see Taylor win to show just how overhyped Pavlik is right now. Sure, we know he has a good chin and power, but he is downright sloppy at times, and someday, I guarantee you, he will be brutally KTFO. It's all because of his style.

I agree. Once Taylor fights a come forward fighter, like Pavlik for example, who applies pressure and packs power, he'll be exiting, no doubt.

I used to like Taylor but have not enjoyed any of his fights lately, I love Pavliks style and enjoyed his fight vs Miranda, I would like to see him win,the guy makes good fights
