Default How old can you possibly keep getting better at boxing?

Realistically if you started boxing late In life how old would you say you can keep on improving?

Iv loved boxing all my life but did not have the confidence to start myself until I was 28 I know im never going to be a world beater probley won't ever turn pro but I'm aiming to have as many amatuer fights as possible until my body packs in on me.

My trainer says if you look after yourself eat right and have a little bit of luck with injury s there's no reason why u can't keep improving into your late 30's

What is people's opinions on this??

Had 4 fights in 8 weeks towards the end of last season and looking forward to my first full season in September.

As long as your body don't give up on you. Mentally, you can remain sharp well into your 80s, so there's no reason you can't improve as long as your body allows it.

Yeah that's kind of what my trainer said, alot depends on both genetics and how well I take care of myself. Least I can take care of the latter part what will be will be I terms of my body holding up I'm not athletically gifted have to work hard for everything not sure if this will make a difference to what Injurys u can pick up

We'll as long as you could punch you could be a world champion after 6 months of training. Bonecrusher smith started training at 28.

Never talk yourself down.

Make the above your goal. You may never attain this goal, but aiming high will make it easier to surpass what you think you're capable of.
