Default Boxing's worst injuries

I was watching Friday Night Fights one time and this guy's ear almost came off. I don't know how it happened, but it was literally half torn off from his skull.

...Aaaaand I hit 'submit' like a dumbass. I actually meant to cancel the thread, but oh well, it's out there now.

Okay, so what other horrible injuries can we think of?
I also remember one guy was repeatedly getting hit low, and in the end he takes a kness and literally starts ****ing blood.

was it actually hanging out janitor?

have heard about it before but never known the full extent of the injury. he did come back to smash enre out in a few rounds later on in his career so surely it couldn't be as horrific as it sounds or he wouldn't have fully recovered

I heard a story on here of a jab somehow making a guys cheek burst open like a balloon filled with blood. He put his arms down and signalled to the ref in shock to stop it right after this happened.

Billy Collins Jr was the victim in the infamous incident where his opponent Luis Resto and Resto's trainer Panama Lewis took some of the padding out of Resto's gloves before the fight.

The result was injuries so severe to Collins eyes that he had to retire; Collins almost certainly committed suicide the following year after falling into a deep depression following his retirement.

The Ruelas injury was a freak, if memory serves me right he came out of a clinch with a Frankilin, with his elbow moved around about 180 degrees... it was not pretty.

Sebastian Lujan got his ears boxed off by Antonio Margarito.

Hasim Rahman against Evander Holyfield was grotesque, too.

From what I remember it seemed an accident, might have to youtube it to confirm it.

Ezzard's elbow splitting The Rock's nose... This did, however, serve to cement in boxing history just how great a champion Rocky really was!
