Superior Wrestling - Couture or Lindland?

Trying to envision how a fight between Couture and Fedor would go, and trying to see if Fedor would be able to avoid Coutures takedowns as he did to Lindland.

I know Lindland was an Olympic wrestler so I am led to believe that his wrestling is superior to Coutures, at least on a P4P basis. But Couture is bigger and stronger and much more accustomed to fighting and taking down larger opponents.

Lindland was able to get in on Fedor, get double underhooks and press him up against the ropes, even lifting him off his feet at times. Fedor eventually reversed the attempt and ended up on top of Lindland in 1/2 guard. Now would Fedor be able to survive and actually reverse Couture, if Couture underhooks him and presses him up against a CAGE?

I think Couture is the superior wrestler now.

Lindland showed an opening on Fedor but Fedor simply ALWAYS turns it around. Cro, Hunt etc have had MOMENTS but he ALWAYS turns it around.

Fedor was magic in his fight with Lindland, just magic.

First he reverses Lindland when he was being held up. Then he flipped the ankle lock. Then when the armbar wasn't properly locked he just jerked the guys ankle and BANG it was in position.

MAGIC!

Im not sure who is really the better wrestler but I do know Randy Couture translates his Greco Wrestling into MMA as good as anybody.

you got it all wrong..fedor probably wouldn't avoid the takedowns...he'd submit him from the bottom...or simply wait for the fight to go on the ground and do a reverse...

well..anyway , in the end all of this is just pure speculation.

before thinking about couture vs fedor...
people should worry about couture's eventual rematch with Barnett.
if that happens...he's in serious trouble.

I think we can safely say that Capatain America wont beat Josh.That im pretty much sure of.I just hope Barnett comes to the UFC to lay waste!

They are on about the same level, however Couture is much bigger, stronger... and uses his more effectively in MMA.
