Because he fought only bums and old men. And perhaps lost a earler fight lol. Not to mention he padded his own record for fighting his brother over and over again.

Only if they induct Blinky Palermo, Owney Madden, Jim Norris and Bob Lee at the same time. (Wait, are we discussing the boxing HOF, or the Rogue's Gallery? What's the difference?)

Yes, and how could somebody responsible for eradicating boxing from the cultural mainstream be honored by a hall of fame? He stripped boxing of it's fame.

Its funny, in the Baseball hall of fame they don't let anyone in who has brought disgrace to the sport. If their name appears on 'The Major League Ineligible List' they don't get in, Shoeless Joe Jackso is on the list and thus cannot enter the hall of fame. Can you imagine if they had such a list for Boxing? the hall of fame would be empty

An interesting posibility.

If it truely is a hall of fame based on a persons impact on the sport without moral judgment then Carbo should be in.

I agree 100%!! Boot that bastard out of the HOF!! Nothing at all honorable about that man. He was responsible for all the excesses carried out by that ridiculous organization . Reducing the title limit to 12 rounds was a criminal breach of the honorable past and tradition of boxing.

Inclusions like this are what facilitate alternative boxing halls of fame to the IBHOF.

Imagine if this turd was comissioner of the NHL, NBA, MLB, FIFA or the IOC. Hockey would be reduced to two periods, baseball would be cut to five innings, and the hoop in basketball would be lowered to eight feet. Unfortunately, it's the criminal past and dishonorable traditions in boxing which are being catered to by this nonsense.

Such inductions remind me of Churchill's dismissal of Royal Navy tradition. ("Navy tradition? Bah! Rum, buggery and the lash. That is Navy tradition!")

Wow,

I just went to the Yahoo Boxing News page, and discovered NOTHING! This is a far cry from what newspapers contained about boxing a century ago. Thanks Sulamain! I'm too damned angry to be capable of producing a rational post now, so I think I'll take a break from ESB for a while (if not permanently) to settle down. What scum like Sulamain have done is the equivalent of causing a sports season to be cancelled.

What I've just seen on Yahoo's Boxing News is the equivalent of reviewing the results of the 1940 and 1944 Olympic Games, or seeing Canseco inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Sorry everybody, I just can't do this. At the very least, I need to take a chill pill, cool off, and try to restrain myself to lurking, like I did for a few years before actually registering here. (Hell, I've been here for nearly five months, so it may be time to move on to different interests anyways.)

'Later (maybe).
