There were multiple belts in Frazier's day. Frazier opted out of the WBA tournament to crown a champion when Ali was in exile, and fought Buster Mathis for the New York State title. I'm not sure if Frazier has moral ground to talk about the politics of boxing. Boxing still has its share of rivalries, but they are not at heavyweight. Check the lower weights. If you want to restore boxing to is former glory, the general public MUST be able to see the fights for free on television. When people know who the boxers are, the matches themselves are far more interesting the average sports fan. |

Fully agree. Getting into boxing, it was frustrating to me that I couldn't see the good fighters on TV for free. I sure as shit couldn't and can't afford PPV, so it's very frustrating. This is not good for boxing, putting the fights on regular cable would massively increase exposure.
