Anyway I have a new love interest, move over Mundine Dan Carter has come to town

Not interest in World Cup as the Rugby League semi's are hotting up at the moment.......

BTW.... Why don't the RWC just seed the top 8 sides and play. Much easier then seeing All Blacks beat Portugal by 150pts

To grow the game, or so the game can grow, whatever.

Then the top tier nations will continue the further the gap between the 2nd and 3rd tier ones.

Rugby is attempting to rival Soccer as a world game, no way they get close but I think they are realistic, If 2015 world cup is in Japan it will help the profile of the game immensely in Asia.

Fight experience: No fight experience however i have had many scuffles on the football field when i was playing junior rep. I prefer to keep my fists safely locked away in the seniors as there are too many big fellas extremely eager to give my flawless face a touch up

Favourite Boxer(s): David Tua, Vaiainga Tuigamala, Anthony Mundine.

Other interests: Fishing, Travelling is one of the many things i love doing. I am fortunate enough in my profession to see many great places of the world. Hopefully I will get to see more of beautiful Australia in the coming years since I have owned it for the past 5.

How did you find EastSideBoxing: My friend and fellow team Jerry Collins who has been a longtime member of this site told me to join a few days ago just prior to flying out to a Rugby Competition that is being held in France over the next few weeks. By the way Jerrys username is Sean.

Match and training commitments wont allow me to log on as much as I would like over the next few weeks but this will change when I get back to New Zealand.

Before I go I have to say browsing through some of these topics that there is a great mix of blokes who love to ruck each other apart.

I would also like to know how you display a picture that is under a poster username?

Get serious...........Rugby doesn't get close to soccer in Asia and never will.....BTW At least in Soccer the team ranked over 100 in the world (which Australia has been in the last couple of decades) can compete with the top sides to a degree...............In Rugby anything ranked above 10 in the world gets whacked by 50-100pts by the top 4 sides..... Now that can't be good for the game.

Bit like Cricket as well.
Minnows always get smashed by the top 8 countries.

What did I say?? "No way they get close"

Its not comparable to soccer because 1 side can dominate another and barely win in soccer, and that is rarely the case in Rugby.

Excluding nations wont build the game either, all its takes is a bad peformance from a top team and the ball to bounce the right way for a 2 tier side and it could revive the sport in any of the minnow nations.
China and India are growing rapidly, their economic conditions are improving, so therefore less people will be malnourished and therefore more physically big people in the generations to come.
Thats a 2 billion person market that Soccer has barely been able to tap, Rugby should have a go at least.
